We're located in the heart of Davis Square, next to the MBTA station, Holland Street exit (Red Line), on the fourth floor (Suite 402) of the Harvard Vanguard Building. Our offices are handicapped accessible
From Cambridge (Harvard Square): From Harvard Square travel north on Massachusetts Avenue and pass the Porter Square T-Station and the Porter Square Shopping Center on the right. From Porter Square, continue on Massachusetts Avenue through seven traffic lights; at the seventh light turn right onto Cameron Avenue. *Follow Cameron Avenue directions below.
From the West (Route 2 or Route 16 Watertown): Head east on Route 16 past the Alewife T-Station and continue to the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue. Turn right onto Massachusetts Avenue. At the third set of traffic lights, take a left onto Cameron Avenue. *Follow Cameron Avenue directions below.
Cameron Avenue directions: At end of Cameron turn right onto Holland Street. Harvard Vanguard is 5 streets down on the right hand side, on the corner of Buena Vista Road. Turn onto Buena Vista Road. Parking is available in the metered municipal (city) lot which is immediately on your left.
From the North (traveling South on Interstate 93): Take Exit 32 (Route 60, Medford Square). Bear right at end of ramp proceeding through Medford Square and follow signs to Route 16 West. **Follow Route 16 directions below.
From the South (traveling North on Interstate 93): Take Exit 31 (Route 16 West/Mystic Valley Pkwy). **Follow Route 16 directions below.
From the East : Travel on Route 16 West (Revere Beach Pkwy - Mystic Valley Pkwy - Alewife Brook Pkwy). **Follow Route 16 directions below.
** Route 16 directions: Follow Route 16 (for approximately 2 miles from the Route 93 exits) until you reach the intersection of Route 16 and Broadway. At the second set of traffic lights (Teele Square), bear right onto Holland Street. Harvard Vanguard is nine streets down on the right at the corner of Buena Vista Road. Turn onto Buena Vista Road. Parking is available in the metered municipal (city) lot which is immediately on your left.
Public transportation: From points south, take Red line to the Davis Square station and exit from the Holland Street side. Harvard Vanguard will be on your left as you exit the T-station. Using Blue line, change to the Green line at Government Center, go one stop to Park Street and change to the Red line and proceed to Davis Square station. Using the Orange line, change at Downtown crossing to the Red line and proceed to Davis Square station.
Davis Square Area
Davis Square has something for everyone: Bookstores, coffee shops, music stores, restaurants, and nightlife will help anyone while away the time day or night. There are multiple coffee houses, wonderful ethnic and non-ethnic restaurants, a beautiful old and interesting movie theatre, funky little stores, ice cream shops, night clubs including Johnny-Ds and Jimmy Tingle’s Off-Broadway theatre, Irish pubs, a diner, thrift shops, holistic centers, martial arts studios and bookstores.
Information on Davis Square
In 1997 Davis Square made Utne Reader's list of the top 15 "hippest" neighborhoods in the country. Commercially, the square features some prime office space and houses high-tech corporations, national nonprofit organizations, small businesses of every stripe, financial services businesses, banks, and insurance companies. Davis Square also is home to many health care providers, from large medical practices to a variety of alternative health care services. Besides being served by a variety of MBTA bus lines, Davis Square is a stop on the Red Line subway. Davis Square is a major stop on the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway.
